Description:

STUDENTS: Are you presenting student research at a professional conference this spring, working on a manuscript for publication, or have general inquiries about research ideas? Join us for a unique opportunity to gain feedback on papers, presentations, or research endeavors in an informal setting among fellow students and professional anthropologists.

The format: ‘Lightning Round’ (3-5 minute) overviews of research from each student participant, followed by facilitated group discussions on research related to the to the environment, heritage, health, and development. To keep the discussions informal, PowerPoints or Prezis is strongly discouraged.

What to submit in order to participate: Name, university affiliation, and group preference (environment, heritage, health, development), as well as a brief description (~250 words) of your research and no more than 3 questions to guide discussion. Submit to evandolah@gmail.com by February 22, 2013

PRACTICING ANTHROPOLOGISTS: This is a chance to hear directly from students about their ongoing research and research interests. Come prepared to give students feedback on their research and analysis. There will be four discussion groups from which to choose:  the environment, heritage, health, and development.
